3DS
الامتدادات: 3ds2 أداة
3DS is a file format created by Autodesk for early versions of 3ds Max, originating during the nascent stage of 3D graphics. It remains widely used in numerous legacy assets and asset libraries. It stores mesh, material, and basic texture information, offering a simple structure and good compatibility.
Due to early specifications, 3DS has clear limitations: a relatively low vertex count cap, 8.3 short filename restrictions, and primitive animation and bone support. Consequently, it is rarely used as a primary format in modern workflows. When encountering 3DS files in old projects or material libraries, conversion to GLB or OBJ is typically required for continued use.
