Adjust the orientation of your 3D model for printing, display, and more. Rotate around all three axes with common angles such as 90° and 180°, or enter any custom angle. General Settings

Transform Application

DefaultModify root node

Choose how the transform is applied to the model: by modifying vertices (baked into geometry data) or by modifying the root node transform. Modifying vertices rewrites all vertex coordinates and applies consistently to every export format; modifying the root node keeps the original vertex coordinates, which is friendlier to animated, skinned, or geometry-sensitive workflows. Root node transform is the recommended default.

What should I do if the model orientation is still wrong after rotating?

A

Check the axis and angle settings first. You often need to combine rotations, for example rotate around X first, then around Y, to reach the correct orientation.

Can I change the rotation center?

A

The rotation center is currently fixed at the geometric center of the model, so it cannot be adjusted manually. If you need a different pivot point, move the model to the desired position first, then rotate.

Does rotating the model affect its precision?

A

No. Rotation only changes the direction of the model, so the original details, dimensions, and precision are preserved completely, with no distortion or deformation.

Can I rotate multiple models at the same time?

A

Only one model file can be processed at a time. To rotate several models, run them one by one or use a separate batch processing tool.

How do I lay a model flat for 3D printing?

A

Identify the face that should sit on the build plate, select the matching axis, then rotate by 90° or a custom angle until that face is level. Rotating around the model center can leave it floating, so run the Drop to Ground tool afterwards to place it flat on the build plate.

Can I enter an exact angle instead of using the quick buttons?

A

Yes. Alongside the 90°, 180°, 270°, and -90° quick buttons, the angle field accepts any value from -360° to 360°, such as 45° or 22.5°. Each apply re-rotates the model by the angle you enter, relative to its current orientation.

Is there a file size limit?

The processing capacity depends on your device performance and the model's vertex count and texture complexity, rather than file size alone. We impose no file size limit, but when a model exceeds what your device can handle, the page may lag or even crash.
