Upload a model, click the surface to place an image or text decal, then drag along the surface to move, scale, and rotate it. Unlike full-model AI retexturing or a flat paste, decals naturally hug curved surfaces and auto-trim at sharp edges and corners instead of stretching through to the back. When a decal crosses mesh holes, openings, or unreachable back sides, those regions are punched out automatically, leaving no floating or penetrating triangles. On export, each decal is saved as a separate mesh layer in the GLB without touching your original textures, so you can still select, move, or delete it individually in Blender or other apps.

No. This tool places logos, images, or text on a local area of the model. It does not replace or repaint the whole material, which makes it a good fit for branding, signing, and product mockups.
The interaction works like a sticker: it wraps curved surfaces. This entry and the GLB/3MF pages export decals as independent textured mesh layers, so they are closest to sticker-style branding. The STL page bakes the pattern into a printable geometry layer, which is closer to an engraved marking effect.

Yes. Decals use Shrinkwrap surface snapping, so they follow curved and spherical surfaces like a real sticker. They don't stretch or distort as a planar texture would, and the wrapping is smoother on more continuous surfaces.
Decals auto-trim and break at the corner instead of being pulled across it, just like a real sticker that can't reach the inside of a 90° edge.
Yes. When a decal crosses a mesh hole, opening, or unreachable back side, that region is punched and trimmed automatically. The result is clean, natural edges with no floating or penetrating triangles.
No. Direction stays continuous when you move across faces, so the logo doesn't suddenly flip upside down. Even when you drag a decal to the other side, the orientation transitions smoothly with no manual re-rotation.
No. Each decal is a separate textured mesh independent from the original material. The original texture stays fully intact, and you can hide or delete each decal individually in Blender or other apps.
Yes. Switch to the Text tab, type your content, adjust size and color, then click the model surface to place it. You can still drag the placement afterward, and you can return to the Text tab anytime to edit the content.
Yes. Dragging the rotation ring snaps to 90° increments by default. Hold Shift while dragging to disable snapping and rotate to any angle.
