SPLAT
Extensiones: splat, splatt, spz, ksplat, sog, ply1 herramientas
Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) is a 3D scene representation method that has emerged in recent years. It uses millions of 3D Gaussian ellipsoids to achieve photorealistic novel view synthesis on consumer GPUs, rendering in real time at 100+ FPS. It is widely used in the next generation of scene reconstruction and digital human fields after NeRF.
SPLAT is the native container format for Gaussian Splatting. It is completely different from the mesh system: it has no editable topology and cannot be directly used for 3D printing or traditional modeling workflows. The current ecosystem also includes compressed variants such as SPZ, KSPLAT, and SOG to accelerate web-side loading.
