About Configuration Options

General Settings

Coordinate System

DefaultY-up

Determines the 'up' axis of the exported model. Different 3D software uses different conventions. Selecting the wrong system may cause the model to lie on its side.

Y-upRecommended

Convention used by OpenGL, Three.js, and most Web 3D engines. Choose this for models from web or game engines.

Z-up

Convention used by Blender (default), 3ds Max, and some CAD software. Try this if the model appears sideways.

Rotation X

Default

Range-180° – 180°

Rotate the model around the X axis (degrees). Useful for correcting axis misalignment or print orientation.

Rotation Y

Default

Range-180° – 180°

Rotate the model around the Y axis (degrees). Useful for correcting axis misalignment or print orientation.

Rotation Z

Default

Range-180° – 180°

Rotate the model around the Z axis (degrees). Useful for correcting axis misalignment or print orientation.

Rotation Application

Choose how rotation is written to the exported model. Baking into vertices rewrites all vertex coordinates so every export format (including geometry-only formats such as STL and STEP) applies it consistently; root node transform keeps the original vertex coordinates, which is friendlier to animated or skinned models, but formats that ignore node transforms (such as STEP) won't apply the rotation.

Rotation is written as a root node transform while vertex coordinates stay unchanged; better for skinned or animated models, but formats that ignore node transforms (such as STEP) won't apply it.

How many models can I convert at once?

A

Up to 20 models per batch. If you add more, only the first 20 are processed and the rest are skipped with a notice.

Can I upload ZIP archives?

A

Yes. ZIP files are extracted automatically and each model inside is added as a separate job. You can also mix individual model files and ZIP archives in one batch.

Can each file be converted to a different format?

A

No. One output format is selected for the entire batch. This keeps bulk conversion fast and consistent: choose GLB, OBJ, STL, FBX, or any other supported format before converting.

How are MTL, textures, and other auxiliary files handled?

A

Upload them together with your models or include them inside a ZIP. The tool reads file references inside each model and matches auxiliary files automatically. Unmatched files are reported as a warning.

What if some files fail during batch conversion?

A

Each model is processed independently. Failures are marked in the file list while successful models remain available for download individually or as part of the ZIP package.

You can convert to GLB, GLTF, OBJ, FBX, STL, 3MF, STEP, STP, PLY, and USDZ. Upload any supported input format including 3DS, and all models in the batch will be converted to your chosen output format.

Texture and material preservation depends on the target format. GLB and GLTF fully support textures and materials. STL only preserves geometry.

Is there a file size limit?

A

The processing capacity depends on your device performance and the model's vertex count and texture complexity, rather than file size alone. We impose no file size limit, but when a model exceeds what your device can handle, the page may lag or even crash.
