VTK

VTK (Visualization Toolkit) is a classic data format in the fields of scientific computing and medical visualization. It supports multiple types such as structured grids, unstructured grids, and image data, and is widely used for visualizing fluid simulation, medical imaging (CT/MRI), and engineering analysis results.

VTK is oriented toward scientific data rather than artistic assets: it records field data and topology, and entering a game or Web rendering pipeline directly requires conversion to a general mesh. Scalar/vector attributes will be lost during conversion, so it is recommended to keep the original VTK file as well.
