About This Tool

Upload a GLB model, click the surface to place image or text decals, then drag along the surface to move, scale and rotate. Unlike full-model AI retexturing or flat image paste, decals naturally hug curved surfaces and auto-trim at sharp edges and corners instead of stretching through and clipping. When a decal crosses mesh holes, openings or unreachable back sides, those regions are auto-punched — no floating or penetrating triangles. On export, each decal is saved as a separate mesh layer in the GLB without modifying your original textures — you can still select, move or delete them individually in Blender and other apps.

GLB is the Khronos open standard for Web 3D, packaging glTF 3D assets and animations into a single binary. Used in Three.js, Babylon.js, and AR/VR apps.

Notes:

  • Some 3D printing slicers cannot directly import GLB files

Is this the same as model "reskin / AI texturing"?

A

No. This tool places logos, images or text locally on the model — it does not replace or repaint the entire material. Great for labeling, signing and product mockups.

How is this different from Text to STL?

A

Text to STL generates new 3D text geometry from scratch for printing. This tool places logos, images or text onto an existing model's surface and exports GLB — ideal when you already have a model and want to label or brand it.

Can I add a logo to a GLB file?

A

Yes. Upload your GLB model, place decals, then export GLB. Use GLB to STL Converter if you need an STL for 3D printing.

Can decals wrap curved surfaces?

A

Yes. Decals use Shrinkwrap surface wrapping to hug curved and spherical surfaces naturally, like a real sticker.

What happens at sharp corners or edges?

A

They are auto-trimmed at corners and won't stretch across — like a real sticker can't reach the inside of a 90° corner.

Do decals auto-punch holes?

A

Yes. When a decal crosses mesh holes, openings or unreachable back sides, those regions are auto-punched and trimmed — no floating or penetrating triangles, with clean natural edges.

Will the pattern spin wildly when dragged to the other side?

A

No. Orientation stays continuous when moving across faces — logos won't suddenly flip upside down.

Are decals painted into the model's original texture?

A

No. Each decal is a separate textured mesh, apart from the original material. Original textures are fully preserved — hide or delete individually in Blender and other apps.

Can I add text?

A

Yes. Switch to the Text tab, enter content and adjust size and color, then click the model surface to place.

Does rotation snap to angles?

A

Yes. Dragging the ring snaps to 90° increments by default. Hold Shift while dragging to disable snapping and rotate freely.

What input and output formats are supported?

A

This page accepts GLB models. Output is always GLB, open in any standard 3D viewer or editor.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All processing is local in the browser — files are never uploaded to any server.

Is there a file size limit?

The processing capacity depends on your device performance and the model's vertex count and texture complexity, rather than file size alone. We impose no file size limit, but when a model exceeds what your device can handle, the page may lag or even crash.
