VRML

VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) was an early standard from the 1990s designed for 3D interaction on the Web. It pioneered online 3D scenes but was later superseded by formats such as X3D and glTF. Its text-based format is still readable by some legacy software.

VRML's rendering capabilities are significantly inferior to modern engines, and native browser support has largely disappeared. Existing files are mostly from old projects and museum-grade archives. Before using them, it is recommended to convert to modern formats like GLB.
