About This Tool

IFC is the international standard format for Building Information Modeling (BIM), used for information sharing in construction projects. This tool lets you open IFC files directly in your browser to view walls, doors, windows, slabs, beams, columns, and other elements. Click any element to see its properties, helping you quickly understand the building structure without installing any professional software.

Description:
IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) is an open international standard (ISO 16739) for BIM. It uses a data model to describe building components' geometry, properties, relationships, and lifecycle, enabling data exchange and collaboration across BIM software. IFC records engineering semantics (walls, beams, columns, relationships) rather than rendering. Browsers and game engines cannot render IFC directly; conversion to a mesh format simplifies semantics to pure geometry. The original IFC must remain in the BIM toolchain.

Large models may take some time to load initially. We recommend using a device with good performance and closing other resource-intensive programs for a smoother experience.

My model was exported from Revit or ArchiCAD to IFC, will it open here?

Yes. IFC is an open BIM standard, and files exported from Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla, and other BIM tools open directly. The viewer supports IFC2x3 and IFC4 files.
