Volume is computed from mesh geometry. Material usage multiplies volume by density and infill. Real slicer results vary with wall count, top/bottom layers and travel moves — treat this as a planning estimate.
When the file embeds a unit (e.g. 3MF), that unit is used. Otherwise the tool assumes 1 model unit = 1 mm, which matches most STL exports for printing.
Yes. Enabling supports adds about 20% extra material as a rough allowance. Your slicer’s actual support volume may differ.
