About This Tool

All-in-one image and 3D texture converter: convert PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG, WebP to PNG, and PNG to WebP, or compress textures into GPU-ready KTX2 (Basis Universal). Use the built-in image resizer to adjust dimensions with locked aspect ratios or square texture presets (512, 1024, 2048). All processing runs client-side in your browser, keeping your files private.

About this tool

How do I convert PNG to JPG or JPG to PNG?

Simply drop your PNG or JPG file into the converter, choose your target format, and click Convert. Converting PNG to JPG produces compact, lightweight images (transparent pixels are filled with white). Converting JPG to PNG allows lossless saving for further design work.

How do I convert WebP to PNG or PNG to WebP?

Upload your WebP or PNG image. WebP to PNG restores full PNG format compatibility across older software, while PNG to WebP provides up to 30% smaller file size while keeping transparency intact.

Can I use this as an image resizer for textures and photos?

Yes. Enter your custom width and height, or pick common square texture presets (such as 512×512, 1024×1024, or 2048×2048). You can lock the aspect ratio to scale images proportionally without distortion.

What is KTX2 and why use it?

KTX2 is a GPU-compressed texture container using Basis Universal. Textures stay compressed on the GPU, saving memory and bandwidth, which is essential for 3D engines and games. This tool can encode PNG/JPEG/WebP to KTX2 and decode KTX2 back to PNG.

What's the difference between ETC1S and UASTC?

ETC1S is a block-compressed mode that produces the smallest files at the cost of some quality. UASTC is a near-lossless mode with higher quality but larger files. Use ETC1S for most cases, and UASTC when quality matters most.

Why does my JPEG lose transparency?

JPEG does not support alpha transparency. When converting to JPEG, transparent pixels are filled with white. Use PNG or WebP to preserve transparency.

Which format conversions does this tool support?

PNG, JPEG, WebP and KTX2 are available as output formats, and PNG, JPEG, WebP, BMP and KTX2 files are accepted as input. You can convert between any of the raster formats, encode images to GPU-friendly KTX2, and decode KTX2 back to PNG.

Can I convert multiple images at once?

The tool processes one image at a time. Since every conversion runs locally in your browser, it is instant: just run it again for each file you need.

Which output format should I choose?

Use PNG for transparency and lossless storage, JPEG for photos and opaque color maps at a small size, and WebP for web delivery with efficient compression and alpha support. Choose KTX2 when you need GPU-compressed textures for 3D engines and games.

General questions

Is Any3D completely free?

Yes, Any3D's core features are free to use forever. We provide format conversion, model optimization, and online preview at no cost, with no registration required.

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

No. Files you select are processed only in your browser on this device, so they never leave your device and are never sent to our servers. We don't store any user files; after processing, related data in browser memory is released.

Do I need to install software?

No installation required. Any3D is entirely browser-based; just open the webpage to use all features. It works on Windows, Mac, Linux, and other major operating systems.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no cap on file size or polygon count. How large a model you can open depends on your device's memory and graphics card, and very heavy models may make the page lag or crash. Some tools do limit how many files go in at once, such as 20 models per batch or single images up to 50 MB in texture compression. See Limits for the full list.

Output Dimensions

Set the output width and height. Square presets (e.g. 1024×1024) suit texture workflows; use custom with optional aspect-ratio lock to keep source proportions. Format-conversion pages default to the source size.

Lock aspect ratio

When enabled in custom size mode, changing width or height automatically scales the other side to match the source image proportions. Disable to set width and height independently.on
